Why check before buying
The MOT record is the one service history a seller cannot rewrite. Repeated advisories for the same brake or suspension item, a fail followed by a same-day pass, or a mileage reading that goes down are the classic warning signs — all visible here in ten seconds.
Once you’ve checked the car, look up what usually fails on that model and decode any advisories you find.
Data: DVSA MOT History API (Crown copyright). Registrations stay out of URLs and access logs. Sanitised results may be cached in server memory for up to six hours; no lookup history is kept.
